I Have To Repeatedly Enter My Password If if the board repeatedly asks for your password, please follow the instructions below: You are having this problem because your user name and password are not being set on your machine with a "cookie". Your user name and password are stored on the FT-Talk.com web site. When you visit the web site for the first time, the FT-Talk.com site asks your web browser if it can store a very small file on your computer called a "cookie". That cookie contains your user name and password. That way every time you access the FT-Talk.com web site, the web site can check your computer for that cookie to see if you are a registered user. If it finds the cookie, then it will let you into the site. If it doesn't find the cookie, then it will ask you for your user name and password. That is the ONLY thing that the cookies are used for on FT-Talk.com. Unfortunately, Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 comes with a default setting so it will not accept cookies, and that setting causes all kinds of problems. HOWEVER, this is very easy to correct. There are *TWO* settings that have to be corrected for the cookies to work. The first is your setting on this board needs to be changed to set a cookie on your computer. To check this: 1. Go to http//www.ft-talk.com/forums
If that didn't solve your problem, then it is an issue with your browser's cookie setting. If you have IE 6.0, here are the instructions for fixing this: In MS Internet Explorer 6 go to 1. 'Tools'
This should solve your problem. Do you still have questions or need help? Here are three approaches:
